SENSORA® is an FDA-cleared AI platform that integrates with Eko's digital stethoscopes to help primary care clinicians quickly and accurately detect signs of cardiac disease.

Augmenting the physical exam with AI.

Qualified clinical staff — including medical assistants and nurses — can capture ECG and heart sound data as part of the patient intake workflow. Physician or qualified healthcare professional review and interpretation is required for every SENSORA® analysis prior to clinical use. Billing under CPT 0962T requires documented provider over-read.

how it works

Whole-platform validation.

A randomized controlled trial published in The Lancet across 200+ NHS primary care practices — the largest AI cardiology RCT to date. When SENSORA® was used as intended, clinicians detected 3.5× more AFib, 2.3× more heart failure, and 1.9× more valvular heart disease compared to standard care.¹

Structural murmur detection.

Identifying structural heart disease early is crucial, as the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines emphasize that it plays a key role in preventing the progression to symptomatic heart failure.² A study published in Eur Heart J Digit Health demonstrated Eko’s AI-enabled SENSORA Platform doubles valvular heart disease (VHD) detection sensitivity over traditional methods in primary care.³

Low ejection fraction detection.

Eko’s Low EF AI was trained on a proprietary dataset of over 100,000 ECGs and echocardiogram pairs from unique patients, and was clinically validated in a multi-site, prospective clinical study of 2,960 patients, achieving an AUROC of 0.835 for detection of LVEF ≤40%, 78% sensitivity and 78% specificity for adults with a risk factor, demonstrating a strong ability to differentiate between low and normal EF.⁴

SENSORA® brings early cardiac insights to every visit.

Eko SENSORA® enables earlier detection of cardiovascular disease by identifying subtle signs on ECG and PCG during routine visits — signals that might otherwise be missed — shifting intervention from late-stage hospitalization to proactive, outpatient care.

Frequently asked questions.

What is SENSORA®

SENSORA® is Eko's enterprise-level cardiac disease detection platform that combines ECG data and heart sound analysis to help providers achieve earlier and more accurate detection of critical heart conditions that often go undetected in traditional exams.

Is SENSORA® reimbursable under Medicare?

SENSORA® analyses performed in eligible outpatient settings are reimbursable under CPT Category III code 0962T. CMS finalized OPPS payment under APC 5734 in December 2025. Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) coverage varies by carrier. All SENSORA analyses require documented physician review and interpretation for billing. Contact our team for current reimbursement support materials and payer guidance.

How does SENSORA® work?

SENSORA® software pairs with an Eko digital stethoscope during a single or multi-point exam to quickly analyze a patient’s heart data and help clinicians identify signs of potential low ejection fraction, AFib, or structural murmur.

How does the AI-supported analysis work?

FDA-cleared software analyzes simultaneous ECG and heart sounds and detects the presence of low ejection fraction (≤40%), atrial fibrillation, structural heart murmurs, and normal sinus rhythm from the ECG signal. In addition, it calculates certain cardiac time intervals such as heart rate and QRS duration and EMAT. The software does not identify other arrhythmias. It is intended to provide support to the physician and is not intended as a sole means of diagnosis. The interpretations of heart sounds and ECG offered by the software are only significant when used in conjunction with physician over-read and is for use on adults (> 18 years).
